Přátelé, Mighty fans, Mighty rodino,
s velkou lítostí oznamujeme, že vzhledem k opatřením kvůli šíření onemocnění COVID-19 se v roce 2020 festival Mighty Sounds neuskuteční.
V posledních týdnech jsme s napětím sledovali vývoj situace a snažili se vymyslet funkční scénář, za kterého by akce letos mohla proběhnout. Důvodů, proč jsme nuceni ji letos neuskutečnit, je ale bohužel v tuto chvíli už celá řada, za všechny - omezení shromažďování většího množství lidí, omezení nebo zákaz cestování a rušení či přesouvání celých turné kapel, na kterých stál letošní program festivalu.
Od roku 2005 je to poprvé, kdy prožijeme léto bez Mighty, což je pro celý náš tým nepředstavitelná věc. Tato skutečnost nám, a věříme, že i mnohým z vás, trhá srdce. Situace je pro nás o to těžší, že uskutečnění festivalu je pro každý jeho další ročník existenční otázkou.

16. ročník festivalu z výše uvedených důvodů přesouváme na rok 2021. Všechny prodané vstupenky a vouchery do kempů a na parkoviště zůstávají pro rok 2021 v platnosti. Uděláme naprosté maximum pro to, aby byl návrat Mighty Sounds famózní oslavou hudebního a festivalového života! To nám můžete věřit. Už v tuto chvíli máme většinu letošního line-upu potvrzenou i pro rok 2021.
????Prosíme, ponechte si vstupenky. Festival je obrovský a složitý organismus, který neožívá jen na tři dny, ale funguje celoročně. Velmi často se tak děje na bázi přátelských vztahů a lásky k hudbě a v drtivé většině případů akce negeneruje žádný zisk, nebo zisk jen velmi malý a nutný k udržení chodu celé akce (od plánování v létě po skončení jednoho ročníku až do července roku dalšího).
Jednotlivé části organismu jsou na sebe úzce navázány a jsou na sobě závislé. Nejedná se jen o pořadatele, kapely a další umělce, ale i o techniku, barmany, stánkaře, partnery festivalu, brigádníky nebo security a plno dalších menších a větších dodavatelů, partnerů a služeb nejen z Tábora a z České republiky, ale i ze zahraničí.
A především jste zde vy ??– návštěvníci Mighty Sounds. Vy tvoříte srdce celého festivalu, bez kterého by celý organismus nemohl existovat. Vaše podpora je v tuto chvíli klíčová pro budoucnost festivalu, a to je důvod, proč vás prosíme, abyste si ponechali vstupenky, které jste si na 16. ročník koupili. Pomůžete nám tak překonat tuto kritickou chvíli, ve které jsme již vynaložili nemalé prostředky na zálohy kapelám, na propagaci, nájmy, daňové odvody a řadu dalšího právě z peněz získaných předprodejem.

Mighty Sounds Vol. 16 is postponed until 2021
With heavy hearts, we have to announce that due to the emergency measures and regulations that are in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, there will be no Mighty Sounds festival in 2020.
We have spent the last few weeks on the lookout for the most recent information and developments, trying to find a way to make the event happen this year. However, at this point the reasons why this would not be possible are already too many: including, above all, size limits for group gatherings, travel restrictions, and cancelled or postponed tours of booked artists.
This is going to be the first summer without Mighty Sounds since 2005. For our crew, this is almost inconceivable and it absolutely breaks our hearts (as we imagine it breaks yours). The situation is all the more difficult because the festival’s continuity is essential for its survival.

As a result of the above, the 16th edition of Mighty Sounds has been moved to the summer of 2021. However, all tickets and parking/camping vouchers purchased in this year’s presale will continue to be valid for 2021. We promise we’re going to do our very best to make the triumphant return of Mighty Sounds an unforgettable celebration of everything we love about music festivals. We already have most of this years' line-up confirmed for 2021.
????Please keep your tickets! The festival is a huge, complex organism – a leviathan, which needs to be fed and taken care of all year round, not only for those three D-days in July. All of this is possible largely thanks to our friendly business relations and a shared love for music among the parties involved. The festival almost never generates any profit, and in the rare cases when it does, any surplus is used up to keep the machine going. Each year, right after the visitors leave the festival area in Tábor, our work on the next edition starts anew and isn’t over until the next July.
The individual cells of this festival organism are very closely tied to and dependent on one another. Apart from the production crew, bands and other artists, the festival works with many other partners, suppliers and service providers – both small and large, local and international – such as gear providers, bartenders, stallholders, partners, temp workers, volunteers, security staff, and many others.
??And, most important of all, there is you – the Mighty Sounds attendees. You are the lifeblood of the festival and this whole thing could never work without you. In a difficult time like this, your support is more vital than ever. This is why we would like to ask those of you who have already purchased tickets for Mighty Sounds Vol. 16 to keep them. The funds from presale will help us to keep the festival alive past this critical stage, when we have already spent considerable amounts on advance payments for artists, promotion costs, rental fees, taxes, etc.
??Despite the rescheduling, the presale for the 16th edition of Mighty Sounds remains open and tickets are still available. By buying tickets for next year (and holding on to those you already have), you will help increase the festival’s chances of living through this difficult time. Mighty Sounds vol. 16 wird erst im Jahr 2021 stattfinden
Es tut uns sehr leid bekannt geben zu müssen, dass das Mighty Sounds Festival aufgrund der COVID-19 Maßnahmen im Jahr 2020 nicht stattfinden kann.
In den letzten Wochen haben wir die Entwicklung der Situation aufmerksam beobachtet und versucht ein mögliches Szenario zu entwickeln, unter dem die Veranstaltung in diesem Jahr stattfinden könnte. Leider gibt es aber viele Gründe warumdies nicht möglich ist. Unter anderem sind dies Reiseverbote, Reiseeinschränkungen, Verbote oder Einschränkung von Ansammlungen mehrerer Personen und auch Absagen oder Verschiebungen von Veranstaltungen der Bands, die für das Festival eingeplant wurden.
Es ist das erste Mal seit 2005 das wir den Sommer ohne Mighty verbringen müssen,was für unser gesamtes Team eine unvorstellbare Sache ist. Diese Tatsache bricht uns das Herz und wir glauben dass auch einige von euch sehr traurig sind. Die Situation ist für uns umso schwieriger da die Realisierung des Festivals für uns jedes Jahr eine existenzielle Sache ist.

Aus den oben genannten Gründen verschieben wir die 16. Edition des Festivals auf das Jahr 2021. Alle bereits gekauften Tickets und Gutscheine für Campingplätze und Parkplätze bleiben für das Jahr 2021 gültig. Wir werden unser Bestes tun, die Rückkehr von Mighty Sounds zu einem berühmten Fest der Musik und des Festivallebens zu machen! Das könnt Ihr uns glauben.
????Bitte behaltet eure Tickets. Das Festival ist ein riesiger und komplexer Organismus der nicht nur drei Tage lang zum Leben erweckt wird, sondern das ganze Jahr lang besteht. Dies geschieht sehr oft basierend auf Freundschaften und Liebe zur Musik und in den allermeisten Fällen generiert die Veranstaltung keinen oder nur einen sehr geringen Gewinn der notwendig ist um die gesamte Veranstaltung am Laufen zu halten (von der Planung im Sommer bis zum nächsten Juli).
Die einzelnen Teile des Organismus sind eng miteinander verbunden und voneinander abhängig. Es handelt sich nicht nur um die Veranstalter, Bands und andere Künstler, sondern auch um die Technik, Barkeeper, Standinhaber, Festivalpartner, Zeitarbeiter oder Sicherheitskräfte und vielen kleineren und größeren Lieferanten, Partner und Dienstleistern nicht nur aus Tábor und der Tschechischen Republik, sondern auch aus dem Ausland.
Und vor allem seid da Ihr - die Besucher des Mighty Sounds. Ihr seid das Herz des gesamten Festivals ohne dass der gesamte Organismus nicht existieren könnte. Eure Unterstützung ist für die Zukunft des Festivals entscheidend. Deshalb bitten wir euch die Tickets die ihr für die 16. Auflage gekauft habtzu behalten. Ihr würdet uns damit helfen diesen extrem kritischen Moment zu überwinden.
