Could you introduce all the members of your project? And tell me more about your basic place (location).
We are 7 People , all between the age of 21 and 29. There is our singer, Rachel, from Forli, our drummer Alessandro from Como, our trumpet player Elia from San Marino,Guido the alto and baritone sax player, Francesco on the tenor sax, Jack on the bass and Mattia on keys, the last 4 all from Bologna. We are based all in Bologna in fact, and we love it, it’s truly one of the best places in Italy for live music.
What inspires you to make music?
Wanting to make people enjoy themselves, the possibility to have fun with each others and the thigs we experience together while travelling the world
Tell us a little bit more about the music scene in Italy.
At the moment it is almost entirely dominated by independent rock, sung in Italian, what here is known as Indie. So I guess we are very much out of the ordinary.
What do you think your biggest success was?
Our work abroad has given us the most satisfactions, last year we had the opportunity to play at Montreaux Jazz Festival
Rumba De Bodas has released a new album called “Super Power”. Who was the producer? In which studios has it been recorded?
We didn’t have a proper producer, but we received a lot of help and feedback from the owner of the recording studio where we worked, Duna Studio. It is a converted pig Farm where they now make amazing work with a lot of wonderful musicians
Please, tell us a little bit more about the following songs:
“Freaky Funky”
It’s inspired by disco funky, with some really great synths and a very fast pace. We made a video clip for this tune, you can find on youtube!
“Strawberry Head”
We’ve done a clip of this tune completely made in stop motion animation, this song describes a party were people go crazy, it was inspired by some of the parties we go to in Bologna. It has a lot of musical influences, from south America especially.
“La Cumbia di Elio”
This is a very playful tune, it is cumbia, and it is the only song in the album that is completely instrumental. It is one of my favourites
What are your next plans?
We are going to be touring for the next few months, and hopefully soon enough we will be out with another album again !
Please tell us more about your plans in Europe / Czech Republic.
We are going to have a big European tour in Germany France, Belgium and the UK in the next few months. Unfortunately we don’t have any gigs in SK yet but hopefully something will come!
What is your favourite drink & food on a tour?
Unfortunately we always end up having sandwiches, because we spend so much time on the road. Otherways we love to eat all typical food from the places we visit.
The most Pop & Rock groups like festivals (like Rock am Ring, Glastonbury Festival, etc.). The classical projects like more special venues (theatre, etc.) What does your group / project prefer? (small venues, or big festivals, and why?)
The important thing for us isn’t the size of the stage but how the crowd is feeling. If people are having fun, independently from the place, it’s going to be a great concert!
We hare for you 3 songs from Czech & from Slovakian Pop & Rock groups (artists). Can you tell about that? Did you know them before our interview?
No, never heard them before
CZ / CIRCUS PROBLEM – Money / www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXj4QEqR_3M
This sounds super fun ! patchanka, Balkan and swing. They have a similar sound to what we had some years ago, when we also had an accordion in the band and we played a lot of Balkan-swing.
ONDREJ HAVELKA & Melody Makers – Me to tady nebavi /

And at last we would like to know your personal message for our listeners. (What would it be?)
Keep listening to live music and have fun with it !
