Escape Elliott - Everything Here Is Make Believe CD 2019 (Engineer records)
ESCAPE ELLIOTT is commonly presented as follows. Especially in Belgium.
Emo pop punks that will make you happy.
Belgian rock outfit ESCAPE ELLIOTT combines punk tunes with magical guitar rock effects and even ska and reggae hints.
The various influences of members of Isaur Flockman (vocals), Lien Anseele (guitar), Ward Rosseel (guitar), Jacob Benoot (bass) and Jorne Tanghe (drums) shape their constantly evolving sound. Reflections of Green Day, NOFX, AFI and even Katy Perry can be heard.
ESCAPE ELLIOTT love to play live shows, so they play in all local clubs, and at all festivals they are not offered. They took part in the festival festivals in Belgium. Such as Ancienne Belgique and Sportpaleis. They also toured their album Everything Here Is Make Believe.
In January 2019 ESCAPE ELLIOTT recorded her debut album with the help of Canadian sound engineer and producer Jesse Gander (White Lung, Japandroids, BRUTUS). The album was christened "Everything Here Is Make Believe". The title of the CD reflects the mood of the album. It's really about espism.
Purple haired singer Isaura Flockman (23) is a whirlwind of emotion. This whisper is heard both in the lyrics and directly on stage. Jumpy dancing little lady who can't stand still.
She is not the only whirlwind on stage; guitarist Ward Rosseel (27) totally completes the devastation. On the other hand, we find Lien Anseele (28) shredding her guitar to the throne. Why? Because she's a queen, that's why. Powerhouse Jorne Tanghe (26) behind the drums and unpredictable bassist Jacob Benoot (25) make this band something you have to see.
Loud, honest and slightly strange punk with heart.
To sum up, there is a malodic and fast pop punk band that really takes its work between Green Day and Cramberries, played in its own performance. Because it's a young band and this is their first album, it doesn't sound bad at all. They are aroused by youth, vigor, and messages. Yeah a very good group. It would not surprise me to see them at the summer multi-genre festival.
